Tim attends the  FGDP(UK) Short Course in Periodontics

In March and May of 2016 Tim attended FGDP(UK)'s Short Course in Periodontics at the Royal College of Surgeons of England in London, a unique practical course, enabling him to obtain excellent training in contemporary periodontal management in practice.

This high quality postgraduate dental course enables Tim  to offer surgical treatment options for both periodontally-diseased and periodontally-healthy patients.

The course enables Tim to effectively plan treatment for patients presenting with periodontal disease within the context of a comprehensive restorative treatment plan understand the role of the patient in disease control and how to motivate patients, use contemporary non-surgical techniques in disease control,  recognise presenting conditions that require the use of antimicrobials and diagnose and effectively treat periodontal/endodontic lesions.

The course covered surgical treatment options for both periodontally-diseased and periodontally-healthy patients and  enables Tim to  carry out flap surgery, root resection surgery,  periodontal regenerative surgery, crown lengthening surgery and simple grafting surgery.
